Details of the award

The Games Mark - Silver Award

 

We are delighted to receive this sporting award which reflects the hard work and commitment of both the children and the staff. It also reflects the value the school places on physical activity and the rewards and benefits across the curriculum that this  has.

In order to achieve this mark, the school :

 

  • provides all pupils with 2 hours of physical education and sporting activity each week

 

  • engages at least 35% of pupils in extra curricular sporting activities each week

 

  • ensures at least 10% of pupils lead, manage and officiate sporting activities

 

  • has links to at least 3 local sports clubs

The award  also recognises our very popular after school sports clubs which are very well attended by our pupils.

 

Look out for the award logo on our website and on our letters and be proud that your child's attitude and commitment to a healthy lifestyle have helped to get us this
