Planning in FS2
Over the year we will be covering different topics in the classroom. Please see the long term plan below for which topics we are doing each half term. We cover different festivals and celebrations where appropriate and talk about how things are changing.
We have phonics lessons every day. We follow Little Wandle letters and sounds revised which is a phonics programme.
In phonics we teach the children letter sounds and not letter names. Letter names are taught later in the year. We also teach the children to write in lower case letters and not capitals.
We will also be learning tricky words e.g. is, I, he.
