CRASH! What’s that in the playground? Let’s go outside and take a look.
Stand back everyone – it looks like a UFO has crash landed. Find out who might have landed by exploring the craft and investigating scattered scientific specimens.
Find out the names of the planets. There’s Mercury, Neptune, Mars and – do you know any others? I’ve forgotten the rest. Then, an alien is found. Can you help get him home? It’s got the experts in a right kerfuffle.

Our Topic for Autumn 2 is:
Bright Lights, Big City
This project teaches children about the physical and human characteristics of the United Kingdom, including a detailed exploration of the characteristics and features of the capital city, London.
We will be learning all about the Queen and the Monarchy, landmarks in London and the importance of travel around the big city.

This topic is all about developing children’s knowledge of British wildlife and woodland habitats. Children will observe and identify plants and animals, understand seasonal changes and appreciate the wonder of the woodland.
