Hello to all our Year 1 children and parents!

We all miss seeing your lovely, smiley faces each morning but we hope you are all being good at home!

Your packs should last for a couple of weeks- remember do a few pages a day from both your booklets.  It is also important that you spend some quality family time too- check out our ‘Fun Activities’ page where there are many things for you and your family to enjoy together.

We will be updating our class pages as much as we can so keep checking regularly. Also, we will be setting work on Mathletics so make sure you log in every couple of days.

Stay safe, keep washing your hands and listen to your parents!

Mrs Baxter, Mr North and Miss Djiapouras smiley

Please check pages for week 3's work. Thanks your Year 1 Team.

Our topic this half term is Dinosaur Planet!

Watch out everyone – the dinosaurs are on the prowl. They’re rampaging across the dusty earth, swishing their enormous tails and baring their fearsome teeth.

Let’s explore the Dinosaur Planet. Imagine you’re a palaeontologist (that’s a scientist who studies bones and fossils). Dig deep and discover dazzling dinosaur facts.

You could do a dinosaur dance or produce some prehistoric percussion. Which is your favourite dinosaur? The Tyrannosaurus, the Brachiosaurus or the Micropachycephalosaurus? Doyouthinkhesawus? Yes, he did. Run!

Welcome to Year 1

This year, the teaching and support staff include...

Mrs Baxter, Miss Djiapourus, Mr North, Miss Connor and  Mrs  Potterton.

We are here to help and support and look forward to an exciting year ahead. smiley

PE days are...

Tuesday's & Wednesday's for both classes.

PE is an important area of the curriculum. It helps our children to stay fit and healthy as well as encouraging team building and refining skills.

Please ensure children bring PE kits in to school at the start of the week. Kits should consist of black shorts, white T. shirt and plimsoles. These should be clearly labelled with names too.

Come and have a look at what we do in our lessons...
