Planning in FS2

Over the year we will be covering different topics.  Please see the table below which shows which topics we will be covering. We will also learn about different festivals and celebrations, where appropriate, and talk about how things are changing through the seasons.

We have phonics lessons every day. We follow Little Wandle letters and sounds revised which is a phonics programme.

In phonics we teach the children letter sounds and not letter names. Letter names are taught later in the year. We also teach the children to write in lower case letters and not capitals.

We will also be learning tricky words e.g. is, I, he.
