SATs: The Truth...

There is no getting away from it – at the end of Year 6, nearly all children in the country take their SATs. However, they are not as scary as most people think... 

SATs are a chance to show what you have learned during your time in primary school. They are not designed to tell people who you are as a person, how kind you are, or what makes you special. They don't tell people how you make your friends laugh, what challenges you have overcome, or even your favourite pizza topping... Instead, they simply give you an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and skills and show everyone what you can do. The most important thing is to try your best, stay positive, and remember that your effort and attitude matter far more than any test result.

Important Dates

The Key Stage 2 tests are timetabled from Monday 10th May to Thursday 13th May 2027.
