We made a start on our final pieces by drawing around our templates and then cutting them out.

We spent the morning learning how to thread a needle and then used running stitch to practice.

Launching rockets- Day 2

On a rather windy Tuesday afternoon, we took our bottle rockets out and launched them. Blast off!

As part of our topic, we have researched space rocket designs and considered them in relation to air resistance and upthrust. Now it's our turn. We have worked in pairs to design and construct our own bottle rocket, which we will then test.

We kick started our 'Stargazers' topic with a visit by Curtis from the 'Wonderdome' team. He showed us various Space-themed animations inside an inflatable dome, and answered lots of our initial questions about space.
