World Book Day 2020!
On Thursday 5th March, we will be celebrating World Book Day! This year we would like to do something a little different that brings all the children of Buswells Lodge together.
We are planning a two-day event for our children.
On Wednesday 4th March, all the children will read an all-time favourite, The Jolly Postman by Leicester authors Janet and Allan Ahlberg Children will then have the chance to make masks and props linked to the book. We will also be holding a writing competition.
There is no need this year to buy a costume for your child.
On Thursday 5th March, we are holding a non-uniform day and the children will wear the masks and props they have made. Throughout the day there will be a special assembly and lots of reading activities and the chance to explore new books and authors.
One of our activities will be 'snuggle with a book', so on Thursday 5th March, children are invited to bring a favourite book and a small cuddly toy with them for a quiet reading session.
