We are sure you will be aware of the incident on Strasbourg Drive on Wednesday evening this week in which one of our children was hurt crossing the road at the end of the school day.
We have been in touch again with the City Council’s school crossing patrol service about a replacement for our previous crossing patrol officer and they have assured us that they will be recruiting someone as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, school is not able to provide a member of our staff to supervise the road because we are not insured to do so. Teachers have been talking with their classes about the importance of road safety and our whole school assembly on Monday will focus on this as well.
In the meantime, can we again urge parents to please take as much care as possible crossing Strasbourg Drive with their children in order to keep them safe.
